Reston, VA - July 19, 2007 - Clinical Care Options (CCO), the leader in continuing medical education (CME) programs in HIV, hepatitis and hematology/oncology, announced the promotion ofPatrick Lamy to General Manager, Virology. In his expanded role, Patrick will be responsible for both the CCO Hepatitis and CCO HIV divisions.

Prior to joining CCO, Patrick was the Associate Director of Marketing at Novacea, Inc. From 1996 to 2004, he held positions of increasing responsibility in research biology, clinical development and marketing in hepatitis and HIV at Gilead Sciences. Most notably, he was the Product Manager responsible for the US launch of Hepsera (adefovir dipivoxil) for chronic hepatitis B. Prior to joining Gilead, Patrick was involved in basic research in CMV retinitis at UC San Diego Medical School.
Patrick holds a master's degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and cellular biology from the University of California, San Diego.
